Along the Pamir at Porshe, Mercedes and Rolls-Royce

The Tourism Development Support Fund in the Kyrgyz Republic helped carholders from Russia to hold a motor rally on retro cars retro-rally "Pamir-2023".

During the 16 days of the motor rally the participants passed 4 countries of Central Asia: Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan, visited the Tien Shan mountains, Issyk Kul, crossed the Fergana valley. In total, fans of retro-powered cars traveled 4,000 kilometers.

According to the participants, they not only tested their iron horses, but saw the national features of each region - hunting with a golden eagle, playing a game of kok-boru, played volleyball at the foot of Lenin peak. Car enthusiasts especially noted our national dishes, accommodation in yurts and glampings.

Thanks to the efforts of the Tourism Fund, the participants of the retro-rally not only were able to cross the Kyrgyz-Kazakh border and leave our republic without hindrance and without inspection, but also moved around the country accompanied by officers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

It is reported that each of the 12 retro-cars that left Almaty finally reached the finish line in Bukhara.

The 1963 Rolls-Royce Silver Cloud received the Audience Award. This car from the last century, the last 100 kilometers of the journey, it only made it with one battery.
