In the Karakol Gorge, a bridge was restored, a road was built and dams were built on the river

Now you can move safely and comfortably in the Karakol Gorge. A section of the road, which became almost impassable after heavy rains and avalanches, was put in order. Here the bridge over the river was restored and the road was repaired.

The washed-out road was cleared and put in order, the river bed was freed from large stones. Additionally, several large dams were built that can hold mudflows. Their total length is 120 meters, and they were built on the most problematic sections of the river.

Restoration work was carried out by order of the Tourism Development Support Fund in the Kyrgyz Republic NGO "Destination Karakol" together with the Karakol National Park.
