The Tourism Development Support Fund of the KR took part in an online meeting with partners from the Land of Salzburg (Austria).
One of the main themes of the meeting was the development of the relationship between the two countries in the tourism industry. The Vice-President of the Fund Kairat Itibayev moderated and made a presentation. He told about the Fund’s national projects - Tosor International Sports Complex, Baytik Mountain Resort and «Development of the network of sanatorium facilities» and invited the Austrian side to take an active part in them. «We have come to an understanding and will work together on this issue», - said Kairat Itibayev.
The participants also discussed the possibility of sending to Austria 15 trainees from the Kyrgyz Republic with basic knowledge of the German language and the corresponding specialty for work in the field of tourism.
The meeting was organized with the support of the Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic in Austria. Two ministries (Labour, Social Welfare and Migration; Culture, Information, Sports and Youth Policy), six tour operators, four tourist associations and two universities participated. The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kyrgyz Republic, Tolenda Makeyev, and the Speaker of the Salzburg State Parliament have made contact from Austria.
Note that the Fund has already had a positive experience of cooperation with Austrians. Earlier, the Austrian company prepared a master plan for the project of construction of the national sports complex «Tamga» on the southern shore of Issyk-Kul.
