Tourist festivals in Chui region discussed at a meeting at the Tourism Fund

In Chui region, several annual festivals are held, tourists are very interested in them. Last year more than six thousand people gathered at KymyzFest alone. This year, ten mass festivals are planned, including the Burana Summit in March, Suusamyr snow in winter, already the traditional KymyzFest in summer, as well as a cooking festival, Mergen fest, Jailow Music Festival and others.

Cooperation in the organization and conduct of large-scale festivals became the main topic of discussion at the meeting of the Deputies Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic in the Chu region Samat Ismanov and Gulmira Kyrstobaeva with the Acting President of the Tourism Development Support Fund in the Kyrgyz Republic by Kyrgychbek Rysaliev and his team.

Among others, there was a proposal to expand the theme of each festival through cognitive components, as well as to promote interesting for tourists events together.

The fund noted that the Chu region is becoming more interesting for tourists, both domestic and external. This is largely due to the efforts of the regional administration, which understands the importance of tourism development in the region and sees it as a great potential for strengthening the economy. The region is doing a lot of work to attract local and foreign guests, and holding regular festivals is another striking example of the success of this activity.
