A large group of Chinese tourists came to the Kyrgyz Republic for the first time since the pandemic

A large group of tourists from different cities of China flew from Urumqi to Bishkek. This is the first massive organized tour out of this country since the end of the pandemic. A total of 20 people came from China. Within three days, Chinese tourists will see the tourist attractions of the Chu and Issyk-Kul regions. After that, by bus through neighboring Kazakhstan, they will go home.

Earlier, the Tourism Development Support Fund of the Kyrgyz Republic held a meeting with Chinese tour operators and a representative of the Chinese Ministry of Economy. Employees of the Fund told the guests about the tourist opportunities of the country, brought them to the most interesting places. Then Chinese guides visited all regions of Kyrgyzstan, drove along the route Bishkek-Osh and saw the most interesting places. Inspired by the trip, the Chinese proposed a combined tour. The Tourism Fund helped them in their organization and also initiated the issuance of electronic model visas to Chinese tourists in a simplified manner.

From China, tourists come to Khorgos, then go to Almaty, then to Bishkek. From Bishkek move south, and further through Osh to Uzbekistan. Chinese travel companies have offered to make a tour of three countries: Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan", - said Vice President of the Fund Abdisait Karimbekov. He noted that the interest of Chinese tourists will help to attract the attention of investors from China to projects in tourism and other spheres of the economy.

According to Chinese tour operators, the Kyrgyz Republic is unusually beautiful and attractive for tourists. And simplification of the visa regime could further increase the flow of those wishing to visit here. They called for the introduction of a visa-free regime for Chinese citizens or simplified access to short-term visas, as is happening in neighboring Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan. According to Chinese businessmen, combined tours in three countries in this case would be even more in demand.
