From 19 to 21 January, the delegation of the Kyrgyz Republic made a working visit to Uzbekistan. It was composed of Deputy Head of the Department of Examination of Decisions of the President and the Cabinet of Ministers Eldiyar Ubaliev, First Deputy Plenipotentiary Representative of the President in Chui region, Head of aiylokmotu, representatives of the Tourism Development Support Fund and the Youth Committee.
The purpose of the visit was to study the experience of the year-round ski resort Amirsoy Mountain Resort, located in the Tashkent region. This should help in the implementation of the project «Mountain resort Bautik Mountain Resort» in the Kyrgyz Republic.
The working trip was productive. The host party showed willingness to share experience and cooperate in the field of mountain tourism. She gave our delegation a tour and told about the work of the resort town. In winter, skiers and snowboarders have access to 11 relief runs with different levels with a total length of more than 15 kilometers. 92% of the guests are citizens of Uzbekistan, and 8% are foreign tourists. They have 48 chalets in the Alpine style.
Having studied the resort Amirsoy Mountain Resort, the members of the delegation came to the conclusion that the Kyrgyz Republic has good opportunities to become a serious player in the ski industry. The ideal topography and altitude range (from 1,500 to 3,500 meters) will allow us to create an international level tourist cluster.
There is a process of allocating land for the construction of the resort Bautik Mountain Resort in the Alamudun district of Chui region. Awareness-raising activities will be conducted with the local population.
