The Kazakhstan International Exhibition "Tourism and Travel" (KITF) ended in the southern capital of Kazakhstan. Our country was represented by 12 tour companies, boarding houses, hotels and sanatoriums. Already from the first minutes of the opening of the exhibition to the national pavilion of the Kyrgyz Republic there was a line. Some of the visitors were attracted by the products of the Association of Designers and Craftsmen of Kyrgyzstan, but mostly the professionals of the tourism sector approached the stand to conclude a cooperation agreement.
If earlier the most popular type of recreation in our country for Kazakhstanis was beach tourism, now their interests have significantly expanded. There was a great demand for adventure tourism, hiking, glamping accommodation in the wild.
Another important area of cooperation is the development of air services. Within the framework of the exhibition, the Tourism Development Support Fund of the Kyrgyz Republic held talks with two Kazakh airlines - FlyArystan, which launches flights from Bishkek to Astana and KOMPAS Kazakhstan, working in the direction of Almaty-Bishkek is also interested in providing transfer to Issyk-Kul. Earlier, a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between this company and the Foundation.
At the exhibition, the Tourism Development Support Fund received the award «Choice of the Year».
Maksat Usubaliev spoke at the dialogue platform «Tourism: the driving force of development». He talked with the representatives of Croatia - the Ambassador of Croatia to the CIS countries Repik Šabanović and the head of the Croatian Tourist Community in the CIS Rajko Ružička. Croatia, whose population is half that of the Kyrgyz Republic, receives more than 20 million tourists annually. The experience of this country can be very interesting, especially in terms of tourists, interaction with the private sector and the development of annual marketing strategies to promote year-round tourism.
The exhibition also included meetings with Chairman of the Board of the national company «Kazakh Tourism» Talgat Amanbaev, President of the Kazakhstan Travel Association Rosa Asanbayeva, Chairman of the Chamber of Entrepreneurs of Almaty Auez Taibetov.
