How to promote tourism in Central Asia discussed in Samarkand

The participants of the Samarkand Tourism Forum, which was held in Uzbekistan, want to promote Central Asia as a tourist destination. A traditional independent business event for participants of the tourism sector of the region was held for the third time. Representatives of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan spoke about their experience in promoting tourism, shared successful practices, exchanged information, discussed plans for the future. The Kyrgyz Republic was actively represented at each session of the forum.



The vice-president of the Tourism Development Support Fund of the Kyrgyz Republic Maksat Usubaliev spoke at the panel discussion "Public-Private Partnership in the Tourism Sector in Central Asia". He talked about the work of the fund and brought some interesting cases. In particular, about the experience at the international exhibition "TOURISM EXPO JAPAN-2023", when all the countries of Central Asia were presented as a single tourist destination. This perception of the region is understandable to many tourists from abroad, in addition, it promotes the sale of complex tours, which is beneficial to all neighboring countries.



Participants of the Samarkand Forum noted the importance of the existence of such a platform for communication, which allows sharing experience in the development of tourism in different countries and establishing contacts useful for joint successful work.
