Tourism in mountain regions discussed experts of CIS countries in Saint Petersburg

The International Forum "Sustainable Development of Mountain Territories" was held in Saint Petersburg, at the Tauric Palace and at the headquarters of the Inter-Parliamentary Assembly of the States Members of the Commonwealth of Independent States.

The gathered experts of the CIS countries aimed to create new scenarios for the development and support of mountain tourism in the Commonwealth countries, launch new legislative initiatives and organize a platform for the exchange of experience.

The Tourism Development Support Fund was represented by Adviser to the President of the Foundation Akylbek Shamayev and Project Manager Chingiz Orolbayev. They presented the large-scale project "Baytik Mountain Resort", which the fund embodies in the Chui region.

It will be a place 30 kilometers from Bishkek, where at any time of year you can relax, enjoy communication with nature, go hiking in scenic places, on foot or on a bike, improve your health. And all this - in the most comfortable conditions. In total, it is planned to build 15 kilometers of cable cars, more than 50 kilometers of ski slopes and tracks, 5 hotels. On the day the recreation area will be able to receive up to 10 thousand guests, and for a year the number of visitors will be about a million people. "Baytik Mountain Resort" is supposed to invest a hundred million dollars, the project is designed until 2030.

At the forum, the Eurasian Alliance of Mountain Resorts was created, which included the Kazakh "Shymbulak", Uzbek "Amirsoi" and Russian "Rose Farm". In the future, "Baytik Mountain Resort" will become a member of this alliance.
